ABOUT US

Castle of Illusions was founded by Ruby and Meg, two passionate performers with a love for musical theatre, entertaining, and making magic happen. When we began this journey, we were both studying Performing Arts at Crosskeys College and little did we know it would lead to something truly special.

It all started when a friend asked if we could help out with some dancing and games at a birthday party. Of course, we said yes! That one party sparked a new adventure, and soon after, we were running a “Mad Hatter Tea Party” workshop over two magical days. We had so much fun, we knew we had to turn our passion into something bigger Castle of Illusions was born in 2023.

Since then, we've grown in both quality and confidence. Our characters not only bring joy to birthday parties and private events, but they also love making appearances at charity events. Giving back is something we truly value, and we try to support as many causes as we can.

Our specialty is bringing beloved characters to life through singing, dancing, games, photos, and creating magical memories that last a lifetime.

Although Castle of Illusions is now run solely by Meg (as Ruby has headed off to university), the heart and spirit of our mission remain the same. We're so grateful to everyone who has booked with us, supported us, and believed in our dream. We couldn’t do this without you thank you for helping us make magic!

A little life update…

Hi everyone! Over the last few months, many of you may have noticed I’ve been a bit quiet. I haven’t always replied to messages, and for that, I’m truly sorry.

The truth is, there was a point where I honestly thought I was going to stop Castle of Illusions. I questioned whether I should carry on and wasn’t sure what the future looked like.

But then summer came along, and something changed.

I was reminded why I started this business in the first place. Seeing the smiles on children’s faces, being part of your special memories, and realising how many opportunities this business has given me made me fall in love with it all over again.

So… I’ve made my decision.

Castle of Illusions is here to stay!

Not only that, but I’m so excited for what’s ahead. Before I head off to university, one of my goals is to start training new performers, giving others the same opportunities and confidence that this journey has given me.

If you’ve sent me a message about a birthday party or event and I haven’t replied yet, thank you so much for your patience. I’ll be working through all my messages over the next few days, so please bear with me. If you still need to get in touch, feel free to send me another message.

I’ve also been working on something very close to my heart, a book about the struggles of musical theatre and mental health. It’s a project I’m incredibly passionate about, and I can’t wait to share more with you soon.

Finally, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you to every single person who has booked with me, supported my business, shared my posts, or simply believed in me. It means more than you’ll ever know.

If you could like, comment, and share this post, it would really help support this next chapter of Castle of Illusions.

Here’s to bigger dreams, exciting opportunities, and all the magic still to come.
